# Settings Profile Redesign Brief

Date: 2026-05-26

## Finding

The current Settings page has the CV upload flow, but it is visually and structurally secondary. A new user first sees profile photo, personal fields, manual bio, and a right explanatory aside before the smart profile action becomes visible.

On mobile, the issue is stronger: the explanatory aside cards appear before the user reaches the CV workflow, and the section tabs overflow horizontally.

## Recommendation

Use the desktop v2 and mobile v2 direction.

- Remove `settings-v2-aside`.
- Make `Perfil inteligente` the first Settings content block.
- Put `Subir CV` / `Pegar bio` before manual profile fields.
- Treat manual bio, profile photo, and personal details as secondary accordions below the smart profile workflow.
- Replace mobile overflowing tabs with a compact section selector.
- Keep the save bar, but ensure it does not cover content and is disabled until there is a real change.

## Implementation Shape

The Settings profile tab should become:

1. Compact page header with profile completeness.
2. Section selector or tabs.
3. Smart profile setup card:
   - Upload CV.
   - Paste bio/manual fallback.
   - Step status: CV, Datos, Alertas, Email.
4. Detected data review.
5. Recommended subscriptions preview.
6. Collapsed manual profile details.
7. Notification preferences and privacy lower on the page.

## Notes

The current right column is basically help text. It explains what data is used for matching/proposals/email, but it competes with the action users need to take. That content can be moved into short inline helper text, tooltips, or an info drawer when needed.

No production code was changed for this mockup pass.
